Frenemies

With a slight frown falling on his face, Hashi glanced to the side then back to Maddie. "I don't mind being alone anyway, the calm and quiet is nice."

Maddie looked at Hashi with a hurt expression then quickly looked down. "Well if you really don't mind....." She got up to her feet and began to slowly walk away.

Quickly turning to look at Maddie directly and hopping off the wall, Hashi was quick to respond, "You really do keep getting the wrong idea on things." Folding his arms and slowly walking after her, he wondered where he was going with this response, usually he wouldn't care about this sort of thing and he had no idea what to do about her hurt expression. "I said you could go if you wanted, not that you had to go."

Maddie turned around with a bright smile that lighted up her face. She ran back and hugged Hashi really tight, laughing cutely. This boy was very weird, but she didn't mind it. He was something new; something new that she's starting to like.

Hashi immediately flinched as Maddie hugged him, his cheeks turning a light red largely due to embarrassment and frustration, one of the things he did have in common with Japan being awkwardness over close physical contact. "I-I Didn't ... Why are you hugging me?" he quickly muttered as he fidgeted in her grasp and lightly tried to push her off.

"Think of it as a thanks!" Maddie explained, cheerfully. She kept herself clung to Hashi, refusing to let go due to her excited mood.

Not completely thinking straight, only determined to at least get Maddie to loosen her grip, Hashi continued trying to push and wriggle away. He muttered back at the girl with his head facing away and cheeks still tinged red, "We-well thank me in a different way. Less hugs."

"Fine!" Maddie said with a pout. She let go of Hashi and took a step back then released an adorable giggle. "We should do something fun!" She suggested.

Hashi released a sigh of relief before only partially turning his head back to face Maddie, his face still retaining a slight rosy hue. "Like what?" He certainly hoped she wouldn't suggest anything involving much close contact.

(Okay. I am nearly falling asleep now. It takes even longer to type on this, this will have to do.)

"We could go to the amusement park!" Maddie suggested as her face lit up brightly. "We could play tons of games and get on all the cool rides!"

Thinking out the options he had, Hashi figured it wouldn't be too bad. Sure amusement parks could be very noisy with lots of people, but it might be a nicer, more fun way of spending time with her. Pausing and quickly shaking away those thoughts he responded, "All right, sure lets go."

Maddie released a small squeak of glee as she quickly grabbed Hashi's hand and dragged him along with her down the street. Her heart heated rapidly as her mind rushed with thrill and excitement. She knew that today would be the most fun she'd every had in a long while.

Not expecting the sudden movement, Hashi stumbled and nearly fell over. Frowning slightly at the girl pulling him along he barely registered she was holding his hand. "D-Do you have to go so fast?"

((SOSEXUAL))

"Well if we don't hurry we won't be able to get on all the rides!" Maddie yelled over her shoulder. "Come on; hurry, Hashi!"

Rolling his eyes, Hashi tried to tug at his arm more before realising his attempts were fruitless, allowing the girl to drag him along to their destination. She certainly gets excited easily, so he hoped she wouldn't cause a scene once they arrived.

(*Sneaky types in bed again*)

When the two finally arrived inside the large park, Maddie finally let go of Hashi's arm. There we practically rides EVERYWHERE you looked; it reminded the young girl of her recent trip to that huge park in England with her cousin Blackpool(Jessica?). She turned around, hoping to see Hashi smile but all she got was the same blank face as always. "Well?!" She pestered. "What do you think? Isn't it amazing!?"

With a the slightest of frowns on his face, Hashi quickly began inching to stand closer to Maddie and still gripping at her hand. It wasn't that he was scared, just unsure and a bit anxious of all the rides with screaming people on them. Turning his head around to look at each and every ride he could see, attempting to decide on which he didn't want to go on, whilst replying to her "It's all right." He wasn't really too sure what to think however.

"Well come on!" Maddie urged eagerly as she began walking away. She looked around at all the rides, unsure of which one they should get on. She ridden all of them before with her brother of course though she wasn't sure on how much Hashi could take on coasters.

Noticing Maddie's retreating form Hashi quickly strode ahead in attempt to lead the girl, however soon sighed and fell into step walking shoulder-to-shoulder with her. He didn't know his way around nor did he particularly know of something to try here. Glancing at the surroundings again he frowned at most roller coasters he could see, attempting to steer Maddie away from them. However his gaze lingered momentarily on a wooden roller coaster, he didn't feel as iffy about that.

(I feel like reading this book is improving my writing. Or maybe it's just making me write more.)
