"You know why, " Roderich stated sternly. He didn't wait for a reply and instead, left his room and went downstairs, hoping to have some breakfast before starting the new day.

Ivan shrugged, watching Roderich leave the room, before rolling off the bed himself. He peeked out the door a bit, before walking out, and heading downstairs as well.

Roderich sat at the kitchen table enjoying his usual breakfast of coffee and wurst, accompanied with the daily paper he often read ever morning. He finally laid the paper down and took another sip of his coffee before checking his pocket watch. It was almost 9 which caused him to grumble. It'd be a long while before he'd have any free time with all the work he'll have to do today. The Austrian rested his head on his fist and began thinking to himself, planning out his busy schedule carefully.

Ivan sneaked around the downstairs area until he reached the kitchen, spotting Roderich, who was sat down, eating breakfast. Ivan inched up from Roderich's behind, and once he reached him, he placed both his hands upon Roderich's shoulders. "Is your breakfast nice?" he asked.

Roderich's eyes widened as he sudden felt Ivan's presence. He quickly turned to the Russian, his face pale white, and glared harshly at the man. "I was," He said sourly. "Was that really necessary?! You scared me half to death!"

"Scared?" Ivan asked, looking a bit puzzled, "How come?" His face then changed from a confused look, to a curious expression.

"Because you came up behind me out of no where!!" Roderich explained angrily before letting out a sigh. "Forget it," He muttered. He finished his breakfast and cleaned the table then grabbed his coffee mug before turning back to Ivan. "I have a lot of work to attend to so I expect there to be no interruptions," He instructed before walking out the kitchen and down the hall into his small study.

Ivan hadn't replied to Roderich, but simply stood there, still smiling. He waited a bit after he had left the kitchen, before following down the same path to the study.

Roderich sat at his desk as he began glancing through some of the papers that piled almost endlessly on his desk. So many forms to sign, some many bills to review, so many documents to read over; it'd be impossible to do anything fun or exciting with all of this work! Roderich groaned as he buried his face into his hands. "I maybe a country but I'm just one man," he complained aloud before lifting his head back up. "But I guess this is the cost of living such a luxury I suppose." He grabbed a pen and began flipping through the small packet infront of him, filling out the pages as he went along.

Ivan stepped into the study, spotting Roderich sat at his desk right away. Curious, he inched over to him, where he was going through papers and seemed to be filling something out. Once her got to him, he peered over his shoulders, watching him do his work.

Roderich stopped along with his pen, looking up from paper. He bit his lip as he slipped a curse before turning around, already aware of who was standing behind him. "Do you mind, Ivan?" He sneered. "I'm trying to get some work done and you breathing down my neck isn't helping."

"Oh," Ivan blinked, "I'll just sit beside you then~" As he said that, he turned around, and grabbed a second chair, before pulling it to the desk beside where Roderich sat.

Roderich gave Ivan a disapproving look but went back to his work without another word. Soon hours passed as mere seconds and when Roderich checked the time he had realize he had been working for 2 hours straight now. He turned to the remaining stack of papers and his jaw dropped, seeing that it still towered a bit over him. He'd never finish it all at this rate! Roderich dropped his pen and placed his head down on the desk, groaning against it. How he hated his job some much at the moment.

Ivan put his hand on Roderich's shoulders, then began to pat him as if trying to comfort him. "You know," he began, "I could always fill out some papers for you~ I wouldn't mind." He laughed a bit, and awaited for Roderich's response to his offer.

"I'm fine," The aristocrat growled, slapping Ivan's hand off his shoulder. "I can finish my work on my own just fine." Roderich picked up his pen and grabbed another stack of papers from beside him, placing them infront of him.

"Are you sure?" Ivan frowned, looking a bit disappointed, "You wouldn't need to stress yourself out so much~ And perhaps you could have more free time in the day to do what you want."

"I'm fine Ivan," Roderich reassured him. Though the Russian's words were true and awfully tempting, Roderich refused to change him mind. This obviously was some sort of trick, no doubt.

"If you say so," Ivan said softly. He didn't try and fight against it, and simply patted Roderich's shoulder once more.

Roderich went straight back to work and he had finally put his pen down again, he looked around his desk. The sun had just begun setting and he was half way done with all of his paper work. That was enough for one day he assumed though his aching red hand couldn't agree more. He got up and stretched then started putting the papers in their separate piles neatly.

"Is it time for a rest?" Ivan asked, looking up at the standing Roderich, while he himself was still sat down in his seat. "You've worked quite a bit today, haven't you?"

(He just watched you fill out all your paperwork he knows everything hahahaha- ..C:)

"Indeed I have," Roderich admitted. "But I suppose I've done enough for one day." He made his way towards the door but suddenly stopped for a second and turned around, looking back at Ivan. "Were you here the entire time?" He asked.

"Da, of course I have," Ivan giggled childishly. He then got up, walking toward Roderich before he was standing right in front of him, towering over the man. "It's no trouble, is it?"

"Oh no," He muttered, glancing down at the floor. "Just a bit surprised that's all." He looked backed up at Ivan, cracking a small smile.

Ivan chuckled a bit. "Oh good," he said, placing his hand on Roderich's shoulder, before petting it a bit.

Roderich paused, feeling his shoulder petted. He expected to slap Ivan's hand away but surprisingly, he left him be. Did he actually enjoy being petted? Nonsense! Roderich wasn't the type to enjoy much affection anyhow, so what gives? He backed away slightly, unsure of what to do about the awkward situation.
