I remember reading Animorphs a lot and when they changed into animals if they wore tight clothes underneath their more loose ones, they lose the looser clothes but the tight clothes stayed on when they transformed so they didn't really have to worry about looking naked when turning back-

Okay some things I've thought that we haven't considered yet/haven't decided on yet--- Ormightatleastbeinterestingtothinkabout.
Been watching more Being human and thought of things.

Where would this be set?
I personally think general mainland Europe would be good. (I mean, sure worldwide would be fine especially if in modern times but it would make it harder for character contact.)


When would this be set?
I personally prefer it being modern times, but we could have it set in some historical time too.

Often in things Vampires have certain extra little features that I wanted to think about-
Usually they have a change in eye colour when they go bloodthirsty, usually red or black. 
Would vampires permanently have their fangs, or again would they just be a thing that pops up whenever they go bloodthirsty?
Wouuullddd religious symbols be harmful to vampires then?
Similarly, silver, would that be harmful to them?

Now werewolf things- 
Are they capable of partially transforming? Or is it solely human and werewolf forms?
Silver, again, harmful to werewolves?
I briefly added on the first post but- On full moons, do the werewolves completely lose their humanity for the night, or is that also something that can be controlled with practice?
Similarly, if they do completely lose their humanity then would they remember what happens during the night, or not?

Well there were plot points around how being turned into a werewolf not only affected them on full moons and was a simple 'disease', but it changed their personalities to be more wolf-like. Ofcoursetheywerestillclearlyhumanbutliketheyweresaying, more aggressive, shorter temper, more confident, lolincreasedappetiteforsex, probably increased appetite for food too-.

Also something we were discussing on FH yesterday- If, say, two true vampires, or two true werewolves were to have a child, what would the child be?
My personal thought would be that the children would all be Pure/Natural, and be the same as them in terms of power and abilities, it would only be socially that they may be seen as less important than Pure/Naturals born with Pure/Natural parents.

IthinkmainlandEuropetoo. But I don't think we need to be too specific. Maybe just an area close to a forest and/or some smallish mountains.

As for time I also think modern would work- though how big of a city/town they would hang around would affect this a lot too.

I like the idea of maybe somewhat bigger-than-human canine teeth for vampires that are somewhat noticeable if you pay attention, but maybe they grow into bigger, really noticeably fangs when they are bloodthirsty?

I also think of silver as more a werewolf weakness than a vampire one, wooden stakes being more for ridding of vampires. Maybe religious symbols can be harmful to both actually? 

Werewolves during the fullmoon I would image have little to no control...? Which I guess would make them both more dangerous AND more vulnerable but-

If we are going to do a modern setting, I think a small town/city with a large forest nearby is the best setting. I do not think we are going to be too involved in human life, especially since none of the characters are actually human. Some of them might be living as humans, but I think the point is for them to be the "monsters" they are as well.

Alsoo, any other opinions on the issue of clothing and changing forms?

And I just thought today- Would either of the two be able to 'sense' the other.
In the sense that they may be out during the day in a place with a bunch of people, and and a vampire and a werewolf may see each other, would they realise that?
I picture it like the werewolves would probably all be able to tell by scent in general, and the vampires would be able to smell that the werewolf has different blood to humans, but both of them only with practice/experience.
Thoughtss?

OH AND MORE- Would both species generally have a faster rate of healing than humans then? Except for in the case of werewolves and silver, and perhaps if a vampire is in the presence of a religious symbol?

Okay because the forum has been veeery quiet in recent times, I'm gonna post on some things and see if I can at least get us talking a bit again.
So there were a few little things that I've been thinking about for a while but we haven't properly discussed----
I mentioned it before but I don't think anyone said anything--- Vampires and their eyes changing. In a lot of things when vampires go bloodthirsty their eyes often change in some way- usually going red, black, or slit. Would we have that sort of thing too or are we just keeping that as something that stays the same?
To what extent does light affect the vampires? I know we've said they don't like it, but is it literally just a general dislike, or does it physically bother/irritate the other than them being weaker in the sun?
Could a vampire actually die of not eating blood? Like say they got chained up in a cave or something for several months, would they die, or still be alive but just ungodly levels of being weak yet also animalistic with hunger- and would need someone else to help them feed at first.
Oh. Something we have briefly questioned once ourselves in a RP. So would either vampires or werewolves need to sleep? Or is that something like with vampires and human food, they can but they don't need to? Or even if they just can't sleep at all in general?

For eyes changing, I would say slowly changing into red depending on how thirsty they are? Maybe slitting as well.
Like after a week maybe they start tinting sort of yellow or amber-ish depending on their normal eye color. And then getting a bit darker until finally hitting a deep red (say maybe 7 or 8 weeks- but of course it would very rarely reach that stage)? LolIdunno.

And I would say that they would die if they go too long? Of course they'd get real animalistic and weak first, but maybe about 3 months without blood they'd eventually die?

Iwouldsaytheybothneedsleep. Probably werewolves more-so than vampires? Both probably don't need as much sleep as humans do but-
