Francis looked over at Rais, worried. "How long should this take us?" he asked, slightly calmly, but also with some fear planted somewhere in his voice.

"A couple of hours maybe until tomorrow," Rais answered with a hint of guilt in his voice as he didn't dare look back. "We won't get lost though since I know my way."

Francis didn't say anything in reply, but nodded.

After another hour or so, Rais decided it was best to rest for a bit as his body was telling him he was starting to over do it. He layed back against the tree he was about to pass and rested in the shade as his mind began to wonder. How could he have screwed up this bad? Hell, how could he forget to fill up the tank with gas?! Perhaps he did share a bit of the french mind set after all; not like it was too much of a bad thing. This is all my fault.... God dammit, Rais, why didn't you just stay home and do nothing like a normal person?! He reminded himself though that he wasn't normal anyways and sighed, glare at the ground burdened by his internal struggles.

Francis frowned. He didn't like the sight of Rais being so... upset. "Don't be too hard on yourself," Francis spoke softly, before kissing his forehead.

Daddy no, I'm a big boy now)

Rai pouted, turning away as a light pink blush covered his face. "I'm not," he argued childishly.

Francis smiled and let out a short and quiet laugh. "Of course, of course," he replied, before giving Rais shoulder a soft pat.

Rais rolled his eyes and continued to pout for reasons he wasn't sure? Why was he acting so immature? So childish. Was it because of Francis, perhaps? He shoved the thought aside and stared off into the grasslands silently, look for anything that stood out.

Francis finally sat down against the tree. "What are we going to do out here for... however long it takes us to get back?"

"Just keep walking and taking rests I suppose," Rais answered. He got up to his feet then stretched before turning to Francis. "Hopefully we won't bump into any more trouble," he muttered.

Francis shrugged. He didn't get up just yet, he was waiting for Rais to start moving, then, maybe he'd get up.

Rais stood where he was and decide to keep look out for anything, noticing Francis still sitting down. He'd assume he'd be a bit lazy considering he's......old. But Rais would never admit that straight to his father's face; not unless he wanted another prideful speech that is.

Francis looked up at the standing Rais. "Are we to go now?" he asked calmly.

"We should get going soon; we want to make it back before dark," Rais answered as he began to walk away but stopped for a second. "But I suppose there's no rush if you're really not ready yet," He mutter, hinting at the man's oldness.

"No, no," Francis began, slowly shuffling up to his feet, "We can start moving now."

"If you insist," Rais replied as he strapped his gun back to his back before walking off and leading the way again.

Francis followed the leading Rais. He tried his best to keep up, but a couple of times, stumbled back, before he rushed himself up to be directly behind him again.

Rais couldn't hold back his chuckles as he heard Francis struggle to keep up with him. Clumsy as always, old man. He slowed down his pace though so Francis would have an easier time catching up to the younger man.

Feeling a bit relieved when Rais had slowed down, Francis was much happier to go at a slower pace. "Merci," he said, at a near whisper.

"Not a problem," Rais muttered back. Yes, he more than determined to get back home safely and as quick as possible but that didn't mean he enjoyed working his father too hard. Rais looked up to the sky and noticed something he had yet to see in a long time: dark rain clouds. It was clear to him that he had forgotten when Rain season was starting up again. "Oh boy," he muttered quietly.

"What's wrong?" Francis questioned, lifting his head at Rais from behind, a bit concerned.

"It's about to rain," Rais said with a hint of fear in his voice. "Things get crazy around here when it rains." Rais kept walking but pauses for a moment. Was he actually scared? He's use to the kind of chaos the rain brings; the prey often scatter and go nuts sometimes while the predators get a bit too hyper and excited. How could he be so afraid when he's use to it? He shook the thought aside and kept walking. He was not about to be a frightened man; not in front of Francis at least.

"Rain?" Francis asked, as he looked up to the sky, noticing the darkening clouds above. Bringing his head back down to a level gaze, he then started up again, "What do you mean by crazy?"

"Well," Rais began a bit uneasy but suddenly stopped himself. Surely he didn't want to worry Francis with all the possible things that could happen now that it's begun to rain. By now they were almost home anyways; at least Rais thought. Just a couple more miles and they'd be home so he shouldn't worry him. "Nothing," He lied. "I was just joking with you, that's all." He pulled on another fake smile then began to walk again.

I need to think of something big to happen.))

Francis huffed softly. "If you say so," he mumbled, a bit worried about whatever Rais may have been talking about, and pondering over whether he may be hiding something. After all, he didn't really seem to be in such a joking mood.
