Re: FrChad
Rais kept walking anxiously as he now began to hear the thundering of the on coming storm. Just a few more steps, he kept telling himself. Just a few more steps and you'll be home. Soon, Rais could barely grasp any sign of light and assumed that it had finally began to turn to night. He held his gun firmly close and kept constant look out for anything big nearby them. As he felt the first few drops of rain, he kept his head up with a quite frightening expression. Besides the sound of their footsteps and the pouring rain, Rais began hearing the loud galloping of prey around them from different directions. What are they running from? Before he could answer his own question, the young man heard the loud rumble of thunder. Rais was use to a few bad storms in the summer, know that's usually when they occured the most but he hope it wouldn't get too bad before he and Francis got back home.
Re: FrChad
Francis continuously followed Rais, before he indeed got a bit worried about not being able to see much anymore. When the rain began, he pouted slightly to himself, mumbling about how he would become a mess in this weather. He brushed things off his arms every now and then, telling himself that it would help. When the thunder had boomed, he couldn't help but jump, and let out a whimper. "How far are we?" he asked, softly.
Re: FrChad
"Almost there," Rais answered as he had taken note of the dirt path that laid ahead of them. This first sign of civilization gave Rais relief; they'd be home in a matter of minutes now. He had just begin to relax when soon stopped, hearing a crunch of grass nearby. He turned to the sound of the noise and found himself locked in glance with a lioness in the distance, prowling towards them. "And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, " Rais grumbled.

Re: FrChad
"Papa," Rais began softly. "I want you to stay calm, don't move, and don't stare directly into those lionesses eyes," He instructed as he notice more coming over from the distance. This wasn't good; the last thing Rais wanted was to kill an animal let alone get into a fight with a group of lionesses. But his gun was his only way of defense and they were so close to home. He had to think quickly.
Re: FrChad
Francis froze when he saw the lionesses. He inched back a bit, not hearing what Rais had told him to do, before he turned around and dashed off.

Re: FrChad
*TABLEFLIP* FRANCIS YOU IDIOT. YOU'RE GONNA GET MAULED.)))
"PAPA NO!! COME BACK!!" Rais yelled, watching his father run away followed by the small pride of lionesses. Cursing under his breath, Rais took the safety off his rifle and ran after them, hoping that they wouldn't catch up to Francis before he could get some-what close to him.

(AHAHahhahahaHA)
Trying to keep his speed, Francis was panicking as he ran for his life. He noticed that the lionesses had been running after him... but where was Rais? Surely they didn't stop for him, because they all seemed to be behind, chasing.

Re: FrChad
Rais sighed frustrated and lifted his rifle. There was no use running after them all day and it wasn't like he'd be able to catch up. If he shoots them now, he'll save Francis but will most likely get turned on and mauled to death by the lionesses. He frowned for a moment before putting on a determined glare. There was no other choice; he would have to take the risk to protect him father. Aiming carefully, Rais pulled the trigger and shot one of the lionesses in the rear, hearing it roar in pain. He smirked before raising his rifle again as he saw the female pride turn around and run towards him.
Re: FrChad
Hearing gun shots, Francis turned his head, seeing that the lionesses had changed their direction, and were running to a figure not too far off. Could it be.. Rais? Ignoring that it was the same direction the lionesses were headed, Francis made his way in that direction, and hoped for the best.
Re: FrChad
Francis, yo son bout to get mauled.))
Rais kept aiming carefully as he shot bullets at the lionesses, cautiously taking steps back when needed to keep more distance between them. When he noticed a majority of them retreating he eased up a bit, relieved until out the corner of his eye he spotted a single lioness dart straight towards him a max speed. He tensed up a bit but kept his stance ready to end this once and for all. Rais pulled the trigger but to his misfortune, his rifle didn't fire any bullets. "Fuck," He cursed to himself. He was out of ammo and the rest of it was back in the jeep. He looked away as he pulled out his knife and upon looking back, he was tackled down to the ground and met with razor sharp claws and teeth.

(OH)
Relieved that the lionesses began to flee in the other direction, Francis began to walk slower, and less rushed. However, suddenly seeing that one of them decided to stay, and had began to tackle, Francis went back into panic. He rushed over into that direction.

Re: FrChad
Rais growled, as he struggled furiously under the heavy wait of the lioness. Despite the multiple deadly scratches and few bites he was enduring, he lunged his knife into the Lioness' chest. He heard her painful cry but that didn't stop her from mauling him apart. It was in this moment, Rais assumed he was going to die; weak and practically defenseless. He held the hilt of his knife tightly, still pushing it in deeper as he laid weakly, staring directly into the beast's eyes. If he were to die, he wasn't about to die with fear. Rais slowly closed his eyes and waited for the end but there was a pause. He forced his eyes open and to his surprise, his attacker laid still on top of him. Had it work? Had he some how manage to stab through her heart in time or was God just saving his Ass? He sighed and closed his eyes again, feeling weak and exhausted.
Re: FrChad
Francis rushed over to where Rais lay along with the large lioness. "Are you okay?" he asked, with large panic in his voice and he kneeled down beside Rais, and shoved the dead lioness off of him.

Re: FrChad
The younger man panted heavily in both pain and relief as he felt the dead weight shifted off of him. He was covered with many large wounds left by his attacker that all threatened to be deadly. If wasn't going die from being mauled, he'll surely die from blood loss in this case. Rais slowly opened up his eyes which were met with the blue eyes filled with worry. That belong to his father. "I could be better," he mumbled weakly. "As long as you're safe though it's fine."
Pfft it's okay. <3))

Re: FrChad
Francis couldn't speak, but could only lift Rais's weak body up into a hug. He nudged his face into Rais's shoulder, tears in his eyes as he whined.
Re: FrChad
Rais whimpered, feeling a sharp pain as he was lifted but began to relaxed as he was pulled deep into his Francis' arms. He frowned guilty as he heard Francis' muffled cries in his shoulder and with a bit more pain, he hug him back. "It's okay, " he whispered. "I'm fine, don't worry yourself."
Re: FrChad
Francis simply kept Rais clung against him. He shook his head, "But... you're so wounded. What are we going to do?"
Re: FrChad
"Keep moving, that's what," Rais stated. "We're almost home and I'm not letting these wounds stop us from getting there." Rais tried to stand but there was no way he could support him because it hurt so much to move. So laid there, silent with a blank expression, in his father's arms with the horrible feeling of being weak stuck on his mind.
Re: FrChad
Frowning, Francis peered around, then turned back to Rais. Carefully, and slowly, he lifted him up as he stood to his feet, stammering back a bit. "Which way is it?" he asked, a bit of panting in his breath.
Re: FrChad
Rais staggered a bit in attempt to shift his weight more onto himself then Francis. He took a good look around his surroundings before slowly point forward. "That way," He groaned.
Re: FrChad
Francis nodded. He then began to lead over into that direction, supporting and holding Rais up.
Re: FrChad
Rais walked along side Francis with what remaining strength he had left and after a few hours of wondering in the dark, the young Frenchman had finally spotted what appeared to be his house about a mile away in the distance. "Finally, " he sighed in pure relief.
Re: FrChad
Francis gave out a relieved sigh as well. "It looks as if it's all downhill from here," he said, continuing to lead Rais ahead toward civilization.
Re: FrChad
"Merci dieu," Rais said feeling at eased as they kept walking. When they finally arrived back at his house, Rais quickly opened the door and limped all the way to the living room where he collapsed onto the soft couch. How he dearly missed this couch. "Remind me to never leave the house again," Rais groaned. "Africa is not safe at all."
